A little about me

Hi! I’m an aquarium enthusiast looking to share my fish keeping knowledge and make a resource about the hobby for those looking to get started and grow in this wonderful past time.

Growing up, we always had a fish tank and pond and I remember sitting and watching the fish for hours. When I moved into my own place, a fish tank was one of the first things I got. I remember walking across town with it from the pet shop (pre-car), excited to set it up.

I now own a number of fish tanks, housing many different species. It’s still just as fun to watch the fish establish and see if they get happy enough to breed. And yes, I still will happily watch the fish tanks for hours.

This has all led to Aquarium-Essentials.com, a site dedicated to supporting aquarium hobbyists from beginners to those of us who are now part of the wood work. Our wealth of resources aims to ultimately cater to all freshwater and planted tank needs.
